I’m Alisa Clifford and my interest in firearms began when I was a kid. My parents raised English Pointers and competed in hunting trials. Early on, I developed a love of dogs, the outdoors, and hunting. My shotgun background also includes personal lessons with Master Shooting Coach Chuck Dryke, and his son, Matt Dryke, the 1984 Olympic Gold Medallist in Skeet.

I worked nine years in law enforcement, first as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and later I transferred to Criminal Telecommunications. During this time, I attended the Academy, worked multiple shootings and high-speed pursuits, and also worked behind the scenes of the law enforcement computer network. Today, I’m a NRA Certified Instructor, Glock Certified Instructor, and Glock Armorer.

At Reliance Arms, I’m very fortunate to work with my husband of the past 22 years. We have developed a low stress, hands on approach to teach firearms skills to a wide range of students, from someone who has never picked up a gun, all the way up to the tactical professional.

I enjoy working with new shooters, in particular other women. Watching someone advance from having never handled a gun to being able to draw from the holster and place accurate rounds on target is a great feeling. I love the confidence in gun handling and gun safety that our students gain, not to mention their improved skill at arms.

In addition to my prior experience in Law Enforcement, I’m a Certified Management Accountant. My business background includes leadership, goal focus, and I was acknowledged as a TWIN (Tribute to Women & Industry) in 2007. I continue to seek out the latest leadership ideas and training education updates to help me assist students on the range.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more about our training, please contact me at alisa@reliancearms.com.

I look forward to seeing you on the range.
